Documentation of the sunset watching.
Lilly spent about a year constructing this landscape out of paper mache. She made a 7-foot tall tree and a mountain range that is meant to look like it recedes into the distance. She also made five clouds and a lake that is heavily coated with glitter. J. Andrew Johannes designed the lighting and also wired the lawn chair in which Lilly sat and lowered the sun while controlling the light of the sunset.
This section of the website contains photographs of the installation, a video of the sunset watching on November 8th, a narrated slide show of the entire process, and a video of the paper mache sunset.
